My name is Zach and I am a well rounded guy. (Or so people tell me).
I have many different interests but at my core I value honesty, integrity and relationships highly.
You should know that one of my best qualities is sometimes also my biggest fault. When I set my mind to accomplish something, I don't stop till I get it done. Mind, you, I can multi task and prioritize. But, once my radar has detected something I keep it on the screen till its resolved.
I have a passion for electronics and specifically wireless electronics. I don't know if it all started with seeing Dick Tracy and his wondrous communicator watch or seeing Captain Kirk whip out that flip top communicator and order Scotty to "beam" him up.
I know, I just geeked out pretty hard, but I believe in the cause passionately. Wireless is where its at folks and I couldn't be happier.
Being on the leading edge of the technology is what fascinates me and that's probably why I've worked in the wireless retail industry for so long.
My unique talent for understanding the gadgetry while at the same time knowing that average person is usually baffled, has allowed me to bridge the gap.
Take the older set; I have happily dealt with so many people who simply have no idea what a cell phone is, let alone how to operate one.
For me, no matter how many of those customers I get, its just plain satisfying to de-mystify the tech for them.
Once those customers get it, I know that I've just earned their respect and probably their business.
Remembering the Golden Rule is critical. For example, I know that when I go into a store looking for answers, I hate to be talked down to. Even if I am an amateur, I don't deserve that kind of disrespect. If I feel embarrassed, the first thing I want to do is get out of that store and away from those sniffy salespeople.
Lots of people share this view and I made it a point to always make the customer feel as if they were in charge of the learning. That way , when they got it, they had a sense of accomplishment and ownership. They felt like experts and went home and explained it to their family and friends. From a sales perspective, the best part was, that those family and friends came back to me to buy.
From a people perspective I made friends that I would run into at the grocery store and have a laugh with.
I like wireless and I like people and that's simply all there is too it.
I will do a lot of things in my life, but sales and wireless will always be a part of it.
